SVA Signage Redesign
Project Type:
This was my first time exploring wayfinding design. Inspired by the geometric play of Tetris blocks, I created a colorful signage system for SVA that improves both exterior visibility and interior navigation. Through research and student feedback, I found that the school’s current signage often goes unnoticed. My goal was to design a system that’s clear, memorable, and a little playful :D—while staying functional in real space.
I continued using the Tetris block shapes throughout the floor plans and stair graphics to keep things consistent. By repeating the forms and colors across maps, labels, and space names, the system feels more connected—and hopefully makes it a little easier to find your way around.

For the indoor signage, I kept the Tetris structure but adapted it for directional use. I created a set of bright, high-contrast blocks to replace the dull, hard-to-spot signs currently in use. Each color corresponds to a space and pairs with simple icons and a clean typeface.
