Architect Trading Card Series
This project started when I came across a drawing by Frank Lloyd Wright. At first, I thought about making cards for artists, but after learning he designed the Guggenheim Museum, I became more interested in architects. I ended up designing cards for eight well-known figures, each paired with one of their buildings on the front and a piece of furniture they designed on the back.

I illustrated one iconic building for each architect using a simplified style inspired by Bauhaus graphics. To keep things consistent, I limited myself to three colors per card. The goal was to capture the basic forms without overcomplicating the composition.
While working on the Zaha Hadid card, I remembered she designed the Z-Chair. That made me curious whether the other architects had also created furniture—and they had. I collected a chair for each one and used a halftone-style treatment inspired by vintage baseball cards from the 1930s for the back of each card.
